The night bite for those trophy walleyes has finally arrived. Pokegama is one of those lakes that kicks out some huge walleyes each year believe it or not. The largest walleyes seem to come off of flat areas close to deep (25-30 feet of water). It seems that the walleyes really like the Rapala Husky Jerk that is blue and silver in color. Both 12 and 14 sizes work for me. Which nights are the best night, well I like to concentrate my night fishing around the full moon, the best bite occurs three days before the full moon the night of and three days after the full moon. Hey this is a great time of the year to get yourself away from all the mid-day activity on the lakes and better yet a great chance at landing a trophy walleye, remember to bring your Deep Woods Off.
