GORE-TEX question

Is it safe to assume that all gore-tex outerwear is water proof? I was looking at the Cabelas winter outerwear sale stuff and was thinking of picking up a new coat and was deciding between the dri-lock stuff or should I go with gortex. Looking for warmth, wind and rain protection. Thanks, D.

Thats a safe assumption. Be sure to look at the seams. You want to make sure they are sealed well.

I made the mistake with an old golf suite. I found out that all gortex is the same. But not all manufactures seam there gear well.

The Cabelas Guidewear parkas and bibs are great. I love mine.
    Thanks, Bill

Like said before All gor-tex is water proof. If it was me I would go with the gor-tex over the dri-lock if your looking for water proof, wind resistant, and warmth. You will get what you pay for when your looking for rain suits.
