Will the person who started the discussion group check their messages. I would like to join but haven’t heard anything.

But maybe you don’t want me.

I do Believe Warrior shoots their glass.
They ride well if a mid size tiller is your thing I would surely give them a look.

Nope, Warrior was never a consideration. You might be thinking Yar-Craft.

Looks as though it never really got off the ground, you might have to restart it!

Relax guys. I just wanted to know if there is a larger Backtroller in the works or if they are staying with what they have. I was the guy who suggested a Backtroller discussion group get started. I was just looking to contribute.

Warrior doesn’t even shoot their own glass. A company in Melrose MN called Carstens Industries makes both boats.

to my knowledge, they are sticking to the 17′ version for now. As far as getting off the ground, I think things are going very well actually. Each boat is built after it is purchased. No inventory, so that is one of the reasons people have not been seeing them on the showroom. They are staying away from dealers and doing all factory direct. If you guys have any questions, Just call John. He is more than happy to talk boats.

Brian. You have been accepted to the forum

I was away a few days. Sorry about the tardiness

I will post pics this weekend

My Backtoller purchase has been the best consumer purchase I have ever made

I would be interested in a Backtroller forum as well. Others may be hoping they eventually make a larger version… I would actually be interested in a 16 foot version. Have been impressed with the 17 I have seen…

Did skeeter quit making a 17′ tiller? I no longer see them listed on their site…

Backtroller had a better layout than Skeeter in my opinion:
-side lockers to lay your rods out on
-rod locker takes up to 9 foot rods
-has both front and rear removable casting decks

The knock against Backtroller for some might be motor selection.

It could be but the Suzuki 70 4-stroke is super quiet and bulletproof. I was initially skeptical of the motor as I had no Suzuki experience but I love the motor for this boat.

Love Suzuki (had a 50 hp once) … issue for some may be hole shot and top end speed with a 70 4 stroke vs. 2 stroke Etec 75.

Top end in the Suzuki 70 is 29.6 MPH according to my graph with two men totaling close to 500 pounds and average amount of gear

It gets on plane and to top speed in a matter of a few seconds. I will have to time it this spring
