Superior Salmon fishing

    I got a call from my Dad and he told me about some friends who want us to set up a weekend to go up for some salmon but I do not know when I should go. Anyone have suggestions?

    The ice breaker went thru the harbor this weekend. The first 1000 footer left Duluth Fri, another today, the ice should be gone in about 3 weeks. So I’d say…April 15th or so.

    I had no Idea it would be so soon. Now the question is can I go fishing on Superior the next weekend go to rainy river for sturgeon? I think I might have a chance considering I am about to get my wife from the airport. She has been in Paris since Tuesday. I think I’ll hold that over her head.

    head to lake Michigan, way bet for salmon, not many salmon left in superior, still a few but way better in michigan
