Black Friday has become an Ice Fishing tradition for. While a lot of people flood to stores to save some money, a buddy and I always seem to head to the lake to catch some fish! This year we hit a Metro Lake with 4″ of CLEAR ice for Bluegill and Crappies. It was a blast being able to see them fight right underneath you! We could have done without the waves of rain however.

Thanks for sharing the video. Curious why you pull your auger cover off before going on the ice? Going to ruin your blades on the cement or cut your shelter canvas. Worst case scenario you slip on the ice and fall into your auger blades while walking out. Just looking out for a fellow fisherman. Good luck!

Thats a good reminder, its mostly a habit. I need to have it on during transport in tournaments but I usually keep it off when fishing and moving on the lake. Its lightweight so I’m always careful when setting it on the ice but you can never be too careful.
