Been fortunate to have made a few trips out on the pond and doing quite well. Plenty of small coho for the grill.

As the Kings are showing up, a few are showing signs of what I hope this summer will produce. With stocking numbers down in previous years, it appears the size is going up. Been seeing early kings already in the mid/upper 20’s and this one below that tipped the scale a little over 30#.

Lake trout numbers seem way up and been seeing plenty in the upper teens to low 20# class. 21 has been off to a good start

Nice! Kings and lakers are fun but Coho on the grill is unbeatable.

I put them second behind a dill seed brine steelhead on the smoker waytogo

We’ve only had steelhead once, caught one on the Michigan side of Lake Michigan. Grilled the filets, drizzled with a sour cream/white wine/dill sauce. Delicious.

What depths are you finding the Kings? I wanna give it a go, But don’t have down riggers. Is it needed?

Chappy, they were 35 to 70 down. I haven’t been out for over a week
