My Mille Lacs Curse

Yes, i do believe i am cursed.

    October 05-
Suffered deep bone bruise on shin 2 days prior to trip to Mille Lacs. Had a lump the size of a softball on my leg and could barely walk for a week. Went fishing anyways, did ok not great.

    July 06-
Got rear-ended on the way up to the pond, totaled trailer and lower unit on engine. Had to turn around and go home.

    October 06-
Fell 20′ out of tree 1 day prior to leaving for trip. Broke my back, burst fracture of L2 vertebrae. Didn’t do much of anything for about 4 months.

Do I dare try to plan a trip again? If I make it without getting hurt prior to leaving, maybe I need to do a backwards half swedish circle around the block to break the bad ju-ju (like on Deadliest Catch) before we leave?

    Any thoughts?

It shure seems like your excited for this certain trip things just seem to go wrong, but on trips with not so much excitement all things seem to be fine , hows that work!

Here I thought I had bad luck, (Thanks for making me feel better) Maybe go out in the yard a start looking for a 4 leaf clover; a willing rabbit to give up a foot and a shooting star to make a wish. Serious though Good luck!!

I got an idea:: You can fake out the gods by “planning” a trip to the casino. Hop on one of those buses with the blue-hairs to get up there. Once you’re there, pay 30$ to go on a launch. While you’re on the launch, have a buddy swing by and pick you up.. that way you can fool the system into thinking that you’re not up there to have any fun (who’m i kiddin’, i’ve had lots of fun on a launches). But bring a rope ladder to get into your buddies boat, we don’t want you jumpin’ off of anything!

Hmmmm….Everytime something like this happened, you were with your BROTHER, right? Maybe you should leave him home and take me instead

Just kidding…You’re due for a great trip. Go get ’em!

Personaly I woud let some one else do the planning, and you just manage to end up in that part of the state that day.
