Echo Lake, Orr MN

Anybody been up to Echo Lake near Orr, MN?

Heading up over Labor Day. Looking for simple recommendations and or current levels of activity. Or any other recommendations around that area.

I have fished it a few times. A very shallow lake may be 15′ tops. you can troll shallow diving baits and catch a mixed bag of fish. I concentrated on the crappies when I fished it. The lake had a number of dead heads from the logging days and I fished those by using a small safety pin type spinner with a small jig attached. Cast past the dead head letting the bait sink and reel in slowly past the log.
