    I caught 3 nice trout the other day. Nothing huge but lots of fun from a canoe on light tackle.

    In a month I’d plan on jigging. Taking a portable flasher would be a good idea too if the weight won’t be a factor.

    I was trolling but I agree with Tom. Jigging is often the easiest way to fish for forktails from a canoe. They will begin moving deeper now which makes them easier to find with a portable graph.

    Jig and grub?
    Saw some videos using 3″ twister grubs.
    Probably easier to do with ipilot though!
