Well..I finally went and done it (
Got home last night from the hospital….Thursday morning I had a stroke..
Not a real big one mind you,but enough to mess up my life for awhile.

I was sitting on the computer in the morning, feeling a little tired but ok otherwise, and went to stand up to go to the fridge and bang, went down like a ton of bricks.
My left leg was totally useless,no numbness,no tingling…it just had no strength at all..
Off to emergency I went….there they injected me with a heavy-duty drug cocktail that had to be used within 2 hours of the stroke to work…within 3 hours I had gained most of the movement back…5 hours later all movement returned THANK YOU GOD!!!
I still have a few months of follow-up,and have to get used to taking a handful of Meds every day,but things are looking good as far as a full recovery go, although fishing might be off the table for awhile. (

So if anyone here ever has ANY symptoms at all of a stroke GET YOUR BUTT TO EMERGENCY….
It could be the difference between a normal life or not so much…

    Later guys

Glad to hear you are ok! I wish things hadn’t been so hectic and we could have gotten out this summer. Take care of yourself and you’ll be back to fishing in no time.

I’ll Thank God too and keep you in our prayers and thoughts.

Glad to hear you recovered so well so quickly, take some time off and relax; the fish will only grow while you’re gone!
Prayers going out for a solid full recovery

Glad to hear you got to the hospital early enough and your on the road for recovery. Fishing can always be put on hold. Health can not. Take care Jeff

Mud you are one of few that are so lucky to get to the ER and get the right help!
In the event of a heart attack, ‘Time is Muscle’, meaning the longer you wait the more the heart muscle dies. In the event of a stroke, ‘Time is Brain Tissue’! Anti-coagulants have to be used carefully and fast!

God speed on your complete recovery…..

A buddies daughter just passed from a stroke. She felt off the day before but dismissed it. Next day she was gone. Play it safe and get checked out.

Hey Mud! I missed this one the first time around!

Certainly glad you caught it early!

Taking med everyday isn’t the worst thing. We have to eat everyday too. LOL!

    Hope all is well.
