A few years ago some folks were talking about FireFox and how much better it was over IE.
Chrome is the new firefox. :thumbs-up-to-bk:

Yesterday, I spent more time than I’d like to admit, finding serial numbers, registering equipment, downloading the correct updates and updating each component to current versions.
I got to try the system out for two hours last night, and not only did it work perfectly, but I picked up a few fish. No DANDIES, but man it was great to have the equipment running itself up and down the river, what a treat. The wind did pose a problem at times, but can be compensated with little trial and error.July 6, 2014 at 7:59 am #1437883Thanks for the reply.
Will you be replacing them? I figured I just needed to update some software. Is this a common problem?May 18, 2014 at 5:15 am #1410914Oh, what a DANDY that would be. Shoot for the stars and ask for a night bite show ……dandy.

The other problem is there are not a lot of good stores that carry a large selection of microbrews, or at least I haven’t found one yet.
MR.PUG – Have you been to Elevated Wine and Spirits on (roughly) 42nd and Hiawatha. Those boys have a HUGE selection of micros. Sugar Shack by 3rd Street Brewhouse is some tasty seasonal brew
February 4, 2014 at 6:35 am #1385762Call Tim W at Nelson Marine in White Bear, I was just talking to him and Ted Takasaki about Tyees and sturgeon fishing at the boat show
Ted looked pretty confusedJanuary 30, 2014 at 6:39 am #1384390Looks like there will be a new shanty town outside the powerplant in the future, I might just start ice fishing again.
Could someone specify which waters are being considered, or are we talking a statewide catch and release season? BTW- BIG thanks to those individuals who continue the good fight.

The open C&R season isn’t going to be good news for the Baudette area.
We will still go up there for the numbers and size, just not this year. Also look forward to having an open season on the Croix for them
January 28, 2014 at 10:14 am #1383863After the last few weeks of foul weather, not sure our group will battle the cold this year.
Looking at other locations, sturgeon excursion on the Rainy is currently the failsafe trip. Where else could a guy target them within 6-7 hr drive from MPLS in a southern direction?
January 21, 2014 at 3:07 pm #1381522Something’s fishy.
on a side note:Here is a link to the previous record.(Edit: This picture is of Rodney Akney’s 49.8 record caught on the St Joesph River on May 22 2012)

Thanks, to all of you who have been working so hard on these issuesNovember 14, 2013 at 11:54 am #1364062We don’t currently rent storage for boats/vehicles here in the city, wish I could help, mine sits outside at home too. Sounds like you need a farmer who rents out his barn, let us know if you find one

The iPilot is the closest/best thing to hands-free fishing:
-Has the ability to follow the lake contour (i.e. 12 foot depth) for up to 2 miles
Has anyone used this feature? I am going to pull the pin on a trolling motor and finder combo, and in my research, it seems that “contour follow” is unique to the Humminbird/Minnkota combo which will seal the deal on getting that combo.
I am curious as to how it has been working for you guys. I am also curious if it could be used to steer the boat while trolling with a kicker. Any and all info would be greatly appreciatedOctober 10, 2013 at 11:18 am #1199498Quote:
what’s the street value of a 1 year old terrova 101? Thinking a switch back to motorguide will be in order once it is out.
Looks like I might be. I was hoping to hear the Lowrance/Motorguide had a “contour follow” feature.October 2, 2013 at 5:08 pm #1198076I cannot find in the motorguide/lowrance combo a “follow the contour” feature. I think this will be a great addition for trolling along shorelines on rivers. I did see it on the humminbird/minnkota/lakemaster setup. Anybody have any information regarding this feature on the motorguide/lowrance?
Thanks.July 28, 2013 at 4:31 pm #1186106That looked like a great day of fishing, and a great tutorial also. Thanks for sharing.
What kind of landing net is that with the lever? I’d like to get a net like that with a long handle, I just don’t want to have to unscrew/screw it every time you stow it. thanks.
