Just draft a QB with every draft pick–maybe then one will work out! I feel for you guys, it’s going to be hard for the queens to have a good draft this year.

Doc,(and others) I’m a bit surprised the Packer faithful jumped this thread so soon. After all it was only a year ago that they wanted to run McCarthy and Thompson out of Wisconsin. But then I do understand how the sediment over there shifts with the breeze.

How about you start your own thread and leave the Vikings to those who really have something to say?

No thanks! It’s more fun to watch Vikings fans suffer the misery that is Brett Favre’s wake!

My family has a place on Niles bay. Are you staying on the East or the West end of the lake?

That’s true, because we don’t have any massive egos in control right now. You might want to read up on a little idiot named Rahm Emanuel and then tell me that egos couldn’t possibly get in the way of making the best decisions for this administration. By the way, I don’t at all believe that this happened in this case, but refuse to give this administration the benefit of the doubt when someone wants to claim that their egos couldn’t possibly get in the way. They have shown repeatedly in a short period of time that they think they know more than everyone else including us about what is best for everyone else, but not for themselves.

We were up there for the weekend and came home Monday. We have a place on Niles Bay on the West end and we did alright but nothing great. We probably caught 20 walleyes between four of us in two days. However, ever single fish we caught was over 20″. Nothing to take home with the slot, but a blast catching the better quality fish. We got all of our fish on lindy rigs with rainbow minnows. The best bite was from 7:00pm until dark each night. Mornings were pretty much dead and we didn’t fish much in the middle of the day. Enjoy your trip and be sure to report back.

Yup, no walleyes in Lake Vermilion. Just a bunch of stunted bluegills and rusty crayfish. The water on Vermilion is so dirty if you run your boat on it, your motor will never run the same again. The few walleyes you might catch are so full of pollution you are bound to glow in the dark for years after eating them. There is more trash all over the shores of that lake than a landfill. I wouldn’t waste my time on Vermilion. I would stick to the real winners like Mille Lacs and Leech if you want to catch real fish! Um, the fish in my picture was probably the last walleye ever to swim in Vermilion.

Because there is no possible way that those 1000 “engineers” could be made up people for the sake of trying to make their site seem legit. So are Osama Bin Laden and Al Quada also in on it? Did our government plan it with them so that they would take responsibility and then enjoy having us lob bombs at them for the next 9 years? By the way, hardly anyone worked in those two buildings, so it would have been easy to get in there with explosives and set up the whole operation under secrecy. The Pentagon is another highly unprotected building to get into and plant bombs unnoticed. Oh by the way, the Mayans say the world is going to end in 2012, so we probably don’t have time to get a full investigation done anyway!

Please stop. The Vikings are not a championship team. Championship teams do not give up 6 turnovers. Even if Favre comes back you can’t get a better season out of him than you did and you didn’t get it done. Next season they aren’t likely to dominate their own division like they did this year. The bears can only get better and the Packers will likely win at least one if not both of the games against the vikings. If Favre does retire you are right back to mediocrity almost immediately. Then add in a possible Williams retirement and now you aren’t nearly as dominant against the run and your secondary becomes a huge factor and without the middle being pushed in every play Allen isn’t near the player he was this year. Good luck, because this was the vikings year to get it done and they couldn’t do it.

I can actually offer insight on both. I have one and my brother has the other. I bought a used XL-3000 last year for $225 on Craigslist and it has worked great for me. It fires up first or second pull and powers through the ice easily. I will say that it is pretty heavy compared to my brothers. His is lighter, but drills slower with the chipper blade. I personally like that everything on my slightly older xl-3000 is metal rather than all of the new plastic parts. I just run mine with a little bit of seafoam once in a while in the gas and it runs great. I don’t think you can really go wrong with either one. I think buying new augers is rediculous right now with the wealth of used augers on the market selling for half the price of new.

I called the number that you guys listed first and got the machine saying they were all busy, so then I sent an email and I just double checked and it was the correct email address. Maybe they are just really backed up.

    WILD fans are priority #1………………

That would suck and show really poor taste on their part, but at least I would know why I am being ignored!

Do you have information to share on them? I actually sent them an email about my LX-3 two days ago and haven’t heard back either.

Nice thought, but not a chance. They call it a rivalry for a reason. I can cheer for the Bears or Lions, not the purple pride.

Oh, don’t worry! I am a huge Packers fan too. I won’t repeat all of my love the your purple pride team, but you can look it up if you want. I just haven’t decided if I want your purple fairies to win this week and lose in the Super Bowl so it hurts more, or for you to just get your butts knocked out this weekend so your Favre offseason drama fun can begin.

Thanks for the video. It points out well that the Avs have players that play and look like hockey players. The wild have guys that can’t perform on the ice, but do really good impersonations while sitting in the penalty box. So according to you the Avs are young and thus won’t do any good(while currently doing very well). Your Wild suck, with experienced players on the team. So your final expert analysis is what….????

A couple of years ago the my propane lantern somehow got turned on in my back seat and leaked a whole can of propane into my truck as I drove to and from work for the next few days. The lantern was in a bag with other supplies so I didn’t know what the smell was. It gave me a headache that didn’t go away for at least a couple of weeks. Not something I want to repeat.

If the queens are going to place all this on Favre’s shoulders–expect to play your last game this coming weekend.

Yeah, he had an off game yesterday. Just terrible vision and no touch on his passes. I can see where you are coming from.

I don’t talk much about the Wild here because I talk about them elsewhere. As for the Avs, good luck. You’ll do about as good as the Blues or Blackhawks did last year with a young team.

As for the first poster complaining about runing up the score, how come it was OK for your Pack to run thye score up on AZ? Classless.

Genius commentary at its finest. I guess you are right. I am pretty disappointed myself with the Avs leading the northwest division and third in the western conference. Those crappy blackhawks you spoke of are number one in the nhl this year so clearly they aren’t doing anything right either.

The peanut gallery is probably the same place all of the Wild fans have gone. A couple of years ago when the Wild were playing my Avalanche in the playoffs all of these guys were the biggest Wild fanatics and now that they suck, you don’t hear a thing. I just haven’t decided what I want more yet, for the Vikings to just get knocked out as soon as possible to end the noise of by all of you purple priders or for the vikings to actually get to the super bowl and lose there so it hurts more. Tough decision. Then to add salt to the whole thing you can begin the Favre offseason drama. Let me give you a post game preview of Favre’s statements. “Uh, I don’t know right now. I need to sit down with my family and talk about it. If I had to decide right now, I would say no because my body is tired, but you know in a few months I may feel differently. I just don’t know. You know with me it has never been about the records or any of that. I just love the game of football. I love the fans. If I can’t play at the level I want to play at, I won’t just hang around for records. This is a great bunch of guys. ” A few tears will be in his eyes at this point and he will start dramatically waving to the crowd and Deanna as though it is his last time on a football field. He will then completely break down leaving the field. For the next few months he won’t say anything and Steve Mariuchi will have some emotional interview on tv where Brett talks about how he is just enjoying mowing his lawn and his family. Favre will in no way want to go to training camp and will play games to try to avoid it. He will come back for one more season if the purple leadership lubes him properly for another year and strokes his ego. At the end of it all he will have a press conference where he talks about his youngest daughter tearfully telling him that she wants him to keep playing football and he will conveniently come back after the two a days are over in camp. Enjoy!!!

Sadly I just assume anymore that I know more than the people working in these types of stores and just consider it a bonus if someone can actually help me. I do like the Bass Pro down there though. I just wish it was like it was years ago where Bass Pro and Cabelas had good prices on items rather than just selling everything at the suggested retail price on everything. I live about an hour from the Altoona store and really don’t see myself getting down there more than maybe once a year.

If you saw the clip of Capers up on the box you got a pretty good idea of what he was thinking. Remember this was the Packers first season in the 3-4 defense. Nobody expected them to do anything this year. Unfortunately the Packers have a handful of guys whose contracts are up this year. Admittedly the Packers defense looked horrible this week, but I think Arizona would have made a lot of defeneses look horrible today.

I expect more from this team and I’m critical. I didn’t say anything about not supporting them. You gotta love the “TRUE” Packer fans. You guys never criticize your team, you fondly love them, even when they lose to an inferior team(Tampa). I guess us Vikings fans are just not “real” fans after all.

Please keep your old, boring, beer soaked, re-used bandwagon junk where it belongs. Maybe you can come with the schedule arguement next time.

Hey, is there a “How to be a Packer fan for Dummies” book? Maybe we could learn something about being a true fan.

If at first your team sucks, try to divert the attention to the Packers. You don’t hear us Packer fans calling for the Super Bowl all year. I personally think the Packers are playing great football for what we have on our team. We still have a few pieces to address in the offseason and have the money and youth on our team to continue getting better. The Vikings have spent all of the money and are starting to fall apart. I just quietly laugh to myself at those of you who at the beginning of the season wouldn’t shut up about how Packer’s fans supposedly just wished we still had Favre instead of Rogers. Not the case then, and not the case now. Aaron Rogers is going to be an absolute stud in this league. Remember that he has a below average line, not much of a running game and has only been starting for his second season. so take your self loathing attitude and your rainbow flaming purple jerseys and go cry yourselves to sleep. There won’t be any Super Bowl trophies traveling to MN this year or anytime soon!

And yes, Prince’s sexually is definitely in question. Good comparison. I can’t wait until Favre gets you close, but not quite there and all you purple boys are just sitting there shocked. Your team will fade back to mediocrity the day he leaves and you will have nothing at QB after crapping on the backups for Favre. By then, one or both of the Williams boys will be done or nearly done and your dominant run defense will be gone, and perm boy won’t be nearly as effective coming off the edge. Can’t wait. Meanwhile, the Packers are admittedly not as good as the vikings right now, but are young, way under the cap and have a huge upside with the youth and cash to be amazing in a year or so.

If you can’t admit that GB’s defense was on fire, then you are just blindly bias. Offense didn’t do anything special, but Romo looked terrible because they made him look that way. They shut down Barber and beat the snot out of Romo and blanket his receivers.

You might recall an idiot named Mike Sherman who ran the franchise into the ground as coach and GM. He gave out insane contracts to overrated players that handcuffed the team. I didn’t say we wanted to remain the youngest team in the league. This is an awesome position to be in moving forward. We are currently competitive, young so we don’t have many players going anywhere soon, under the cap so we can sign areas of need such as the o line next season.

By the way to the genius who said we had to beg Tauscher out of retirement. He never retired. He tore his ACL last season and it just happened to be the last year of his contract so they Packers waited to see how well he recovered before re-signing him. He just was cleared to play, that is why they waited to sign him. They were probably also hoping to not have to sign him and save money with younger players. That obviously didn’t work so well.

Vikings will likely be without their best CB and the Packers will be playing at home. I see the Packers winning a close game. For those who hate TT you have you head in the sand. He took over a team that had been horribly managed for years and in short time has the Packers back in great financial shape with a team that is highly competative as the youngest team in the NFL. That is very difficult to get the team competative, young, and cheap. That means we are in great shape going forward and it is largely due to his decision making and not listening to fans who make a lot of noise and call him an idiot. The Packers would not be any better this year with Favre than they are with Rodgers. However, in two years or less they would be in horrible shape when Favre retires or is forced to quit and Rodgers would have moved on to play somewhere else and we would be where the vikings will be in a year or two. He will handcuff them at the end of the season like he did to us for so many years. I will enjoy watching him cause them to make poor draft choices and frustrate the viking fans while he tries to decide which tv to buy at Sears.

I’m sorry, but there are way too many variables for the UFC to be fake. Also, guys take way to big of a beating sometimes for any of that to be scripted. I didn’t order last nights fights because the fight card just plain sucked. I am planning on getting the ones on Nov 21 with lesner fighting and Griffin fighting Tito Ortiz. I hope Ortiz gets his face smashed. Can’t stand that guy.

I made the biggest steal of the year when I bought a full suit, the red one, from a guy on another site who accepted my offer of $125 shipped to my door. The suit was worn for one weekend when he went ice fishing last year. Said he realized ice fishing wasn’t for him and just wanted to try to get some money back out of his stuff. The sizes were exactly what I need. I was pumped to say the least on the deal I got. The stuff looks brand new and fits me great. I can’t wait to use it.
