I also have a MS 390 Stihl and I really like it. I went with a 20 inch bar because I cut 20 to 30 cord of firewood per year. Last year I bought a MS 260 for my son to use it has a 16 inch bar and it seems to be a good saw for under 300 bucks.

I was up there July 9 through the 14th. The temp was in the fifties and it rained everyday. We caught a few walleyes, the largest being 22 inches. A few small northern also. We stayed at Cushing Lake Resort. It was the first time up there for me so I don’t know much about the end you are staying at.

Did you check Basspro. I get the regular ones there but don’t know if they carry the smaller version.

First make sure you peel it. Then boil it and pickle it with onions and whatever else you would like with it.

I see the 2610 has been discontinued and the one you have is a refurbished one. I guess I would like to stick to a new one. Which one the 330 or the 250 would you recommend.

    Thanks

pm sent bigeyes. Thanks for all the info so far. Does anybody know anything about this resort. Do you guys take your own boats or rent. I plan on renting one. This trip is for 4 days my 12 year old daughter won it at the local rod and gun club. I hope it’s fun.

Their service department is really good up there too. I bought my first bass boat from them and would have returned but they quit selling Stratos. I see they have since gotten back into them.

I had the opportunity to see a piebald buck in the wild on the last Saturday of the Wisconsin Gun Deer Season. What a sight. He came in with another small buck. They both walked so he should be a pretty nice buck next year.

Blue and Silver Triton, We were out at about 6:30 and left at 11:30. We caught some decent fish before the sun came out. It seems like once the sun came out they turned off.

How do you get a kid involved in something like this. I have a 14 year old that would be pretty interested.

I saw the guy you were talking about fishing a wing dam on the main river when we were headed back to the weigh in. NO I don’t have that butt ugly yellow triton that is my buddies boat. I have a blue Triton. I think I was sitting next to your dad at the pre tournament meeting at the fire station.

Hey easy on the Triton remarks. There was a big yellow Triton that fished the tournament on Sat. They ended up 5th.

Hey reelguy what place did you guys end up. I see you had 15 lbs and some change. Being overcast really screwed our pattern up. We ended up with two keepers and didn’t catch them until 1:00. Fun day to be on the water though.

I haven’t been on in a while. But I saw this original picture first hand. These bucks were taken on private land. I was told the smaller bucks were taken by younger hunters. This group from what I am told gets nice bucks every year. I think they do shoot some does not for sure. The guy I know that had the picture told me but I can’t remember. The Mathews forum was correct they were taken in the Spencer area. I hope this clears everything up.

We saw an all white doe on Sunday by where we hunt. I don’t think that one was albino either. What is the law in MN about shooting white deer.

Well thanks for everybody’s help, but Sgt. Rock was right. I ended up calling Madison and that is what they told me but they didn’t really have a reason. We must have talked to the same lady at the dnr in La Crosse Garvi cause that is the same answer I got.

I have heard that they schedule the t zone hunt for this time of the year because a lot of the school districts don’t have school on Thursday and Friday. It gives the younger hunters a chance to get out and hunt while most years it isn’t real cold. Just what I heard.
