Great pics and great story BK!
TUG O WAR and SUPER CATS = good stuff!
Braided line will usually tell the tale of what goin on under the water.
When I get into a goofey situation like a fish moving at me or one that might be stoped with the bait in its mouth, I always reel down on the catfish with the Double action hook. Here is why…..Works on blues/channels/flatheads…..
1. You won’t yank your bait off or hurt your bait with the reeling down system.
2. If the cat is coming at you…you might set the hook and miss the fish if you didn’t catch up to them……kinda like a swing and a miss (WIFF)….If you reel down on um, it all happens in 1 motion and you can pick up lots of line very quickly to see if the cat is truly there.
Just my 2 cents
Lookin good Brian K!
There is a new video at Team Catfish thats all about fishing with the secret 7 in current and flodded conditions. You are on the right track when you cut up your dip tubes. I use 2 chunks on the 3/0 and 3 chunks on the 5/0 DOUBLE ACTION hooks.
I was doing another video today and caught blues up to 10 lbs on the 7 and channels up to 5 lbs. All caught on S7 and D.A. hooks in fast current……
The folks that Rep Sherrer is representing said and I quote “We fish for food and changing the blue catfish regulation to one fish a day over 30″ will only take food off our families table.”
WHAAAAAAAT EVERRRRRRRRRRR!!! 50 + pounds of catfish fillets a day is plenty!
You all have quite the conversations on this forum…….
I kinda enjoy all the back and forth/\/\/\/\/….Keeps it very interesting!
We hope everyone gets to try our Sinker Bumperz and #6 Sinker Slides this year…..We love um…..
Thanks Brian for spreading the word, and to everyone that is picking up their Team Catfish gear at Everts and Moores!
Thanks……….
Brian,
I am not sure……I am in favor of having events all over the US.
I don’t organize any tournaments so I can’t answer the question, but I know there are lots of good catfish anglers in your part of the country!

My rod is a fleshy tan color. I tried one of those glow cover-ups once, but it didn’t do it for me.
Thata some funny …t!
I like white catfishing rods. They are my first choice day or night. I have used lots of different models/colors and white is always the easiest for me to see.
When rods are bent over and touching the water…….It does not really matter what color they are!!!
We will see what ther next 3 months is like. I like going to Texas where its warm in the winter…….but I need to try that sometime!
Cool video……I will have to try this sometime!
Thanks for sharing.
BrianK,
Thanks for the great wrtie up on the DOUBLE ACTION catfish hooks. As you have found out, this is not your average hook by any means…..The more a angler uses them, the better they will like them! This hook will work in every catfishing situation from coast to coast!
Hello to all the catifsh anglers on the forum. I looked around a little, and found some mighty nice lookin cats you all have in the North land.
Great website….I am sure I will be visiting quite often!
Thank you Bob Moore of Moore’s bait and Tackle for handling the Team Catifsh bait and tackle.
