I think you mean CO not CO2. CO2 will not kill you unless you drink too much of it!! Good reminder though.

Are you sure that this is an auger from Jiffy? jiffy has always had their rotation go counter clockwise. this has been since day one so if yours is going clockwise, I doubt it is a Jiffy.

There will be another ice fishing show in November this year. This one is going to be held at the National Sports Center in Blaine. Dates are going to be Nov 16-18. Not sure on the exact hours or how big this will be but it might be worth checking out.

I also bought the lifetime of both XM and the Best of Sirius and I think my total was $500. That was 5 yrs ago and I do not regret it 1 bit. I started with XM and my subscription came with internet radio and I still get that too. You get spoiled listening to it that’s for sure. My receiver is not mounted in my vehicle so I can take it with me where ever I go.

The last 2 guns that I have bought I have had the same thing happen. Other than the inconvience of having to go back, it was no big deal. The guys I bought from said prob what is happening is that someone with a name close to mine is causing problems.

I think this is going to be one of the most exciting races for Daytona in a long time. If it is anything like the send duel race yesterday look out at the end. It will be several green white checkers at the end is my guess. I also like the pod racing that is going on this year. You have more movement I think this year and with the heat of the day, you are not going to be able to stick with just the pusher and leader all the time. They will have to figure out how to do the switch and still remain locked together and around the other cars trying to do the same thing.

Jiffy has actually said that it is now ok to run the older augers with the lower oil ratio now. They have been like this for a couple of years now. You can use the bottles of oil that you find in your stores now and it will not hurt your auger.

Other than a bungee or some other type of cord or rope, no sorry. That is what I am doing also. Just keep stuff against it so it doesn’t tip over is all I am doing too.

It happens. We had to adjust one at the St Paul Ice Show also. Of the 3 that we had there, the 1 we adjusted was being started all weekend and 1 little adjustment took care of the problem. It is a simple fix but tough to describe how over the internet without pictures.

Does it seem like the idle is too fast? If so there is a spot to adjust the idle. I can look at mine tonight and maybe even get a pic of where the screw is and show you how to adjust it. It’s not a tough job to do. 1 simple screw and you will be taken care of. Enjoy your new auger!!!

Jiffy is using a high pressure regulator so this should not be a huge concern. It actually is sucking the fuel out of the bottle as opposed to having to wait for pressure in the bottle. If anyone would like to try one, just let me know and I will be happy to meet you somewhere on the lake and you can see how the propane unit works.

I agree that was a very good come back. You really can’t blame the punter tho for the entire loss. Yes he should have done a better job of kicking the ball away from the return guy or out of bounds but there were 10 other guys that missed the tackle on that play alone. Also if you give up that many points in a quarter, I’m not to sure you deserve the win. Fun comeback to watch tho.

Sounds like some of the same luck I had when our group went out there a week ago. We had 10 guys and limited out both sat ans sunday. It took us 3 hours on sat and 4 on sunday.

    Sat Limit

    Sunday Limit

Yes. The 1 lb propane cylinders will run about equal to the run time of 2/3 of what a tank of gas would run. Hope this helps.

I heard the new jiffy’s engine hp is 1.28

Not sure where you heard this but this is not true. The actual engine is a 52 cc engine which is bigger than what you were told. Actually closer to a 2.5 hp

About how many holes can be drilled with a 1 lb tank in 18-20+” of ice.?

A 1 lb tank of propane has been tested to equal about 2/3 of a tank of gas. There are too many variables to say that it will cut x amount of holes.

The Jiffy Pro4 is going to be one of the top augers this season. There is no more worry about the smell of gas on your hands or the smell of exhaust in your house anymore. The Pro4 is a quiet running 4 stroke engine that has alot of torque with it. I had a chance to run one last winter and was surprised how quiet the engine was. Starting also was simple. No more worry about your auger not starting. There has been alot of testing also on this unit and even in the cold temps, it ran great!!

I have a couple of 12 ga 2 3/4 recipes that reach 1500. These are with Rio and Fiocchi hulls. Let me know if you want them. I picked them up from materials where I get my reloading gear.

Jiffy has gone to a 40:1 ratio a couple of years ago. That is the only way that they sell it now. They have added stabilizer into the oil.

I have seen many accidents and there is no way he was only going 25 mph. Glad to hear that all will be OK. Seatbelts do save lives.
