I sent mine back and they said it checked out fine but he still put a new board and something else and said that I must have a voltage problem, brand new boat and batteries.I checked voltage and replaced trolling plug and still anchor lock is only functional if you tie the anchor rope around the trolling motor and advanced auto pilot is useless.Very disappointed and done with minkota if they cant fix this to function AS IT SHOULD FOR A 1600 DOLLAR MOTOR.

You cant beat the quality and better feel of a avid and you are preserving American jobs. This isn’t even mentioning the value of the warranty.I have a newer avid and believe it is every bit as good as my 10 year old legend elite which is still working fine.

Its hard to beat the durability and ease of use of a vexilar,it may not have as many bells and whistles, but do you really need or want them,I have dropped my vexilar and bounced it around and it has worked flawlessly for many years.

I am sure it isnt your prop that prop should over rev the motor if anything,I had a friend who had same problem with his yamaha and he had a dirty injector.I would bet it is fuel related and just needs a cleaning you could try some sea foam. This new gas now days doesnt like to sit for long and will gum things up.I have a lund also very nice boats

I use Cabelas drift socks,I would get a medium size they have them on sale sometimes for 19.99,XL if you want use it on the side of your boat to slow drift, I use them alot on bigger lakes when dragging lindy rigs.Enjoy that boat you made a nice step up.

If it as a 4-stroke you should be fine unless you want to troll under 2 mpg,you can use a drift sock to get you below that.

I run mine all day in garage no problems with how long you run it,I have found the tip on pilot gets dusty or dirty and just blow it out with a air hose once in a while keeps it working good.

Sounds like alumacraft has went downhill like lund since they got corporate owned.I just cant figure out why we pay a ceo of a company millions to take away quality and benefits from everyone and eventually destroy everything

I am glad were finally waking up,the CEO of big corporations are making a quick buck destroying companies and our country,I still havent figured out why we pay them millions to sell off the assets of a company and outsource cheap junk,it takes no skill in my opinion.

ST Croix and Polaris are 2 more companies building some stuff in Mexico, dont buy there Mexican stuff,I will buy there American made stuff.Vote with your wallet.

BUY AMERICAN our lively hood depends on it.
