Trolling the Mud

    The Mud bite is on right now out on Bago. Best colors seem to be Purple first and then baits with Orange Bellies. Running cranks from 35-125 feet back seems best. We are getting lots of fish in the 15-22 inch range. Wally Divers and Shad Raps seem to be the ticket. Harnesses are doing well for bigger fish, but they are not producing the numbers of fish that the cranks are.

    Appreciate the report. Gernally I fish the Mississippi River but my son and I are headed up to Winnebago this coming Saturday and any help you can provide would be appreciated.
