I’m wondering if anyone recongnizes this jig? Apparently they’re made somewhere in MN. I was given one by a buddy but he wasn’t sure who made them. He believes they’re called a 100%’r jig (spelling?) Thanks for any help!

Don’t remember but I had a bunch of them at one time about 20 years ago, worked at the St. Cloud Scheels in college and they were a new jig at the time. Worked great under bobbers and tip ups.

Not a foo flyer as these have the concave back, IIRC the foo flyer has a flat or convex back and are much thicker. These are basically a painted blade made into a jig.

I have quite a few of them I bought about 8n years ago. I think they are called concave angle jigs. I have a catalog somewhere that I still might have. They were made in Minnesota. I tried to google them, but cant find anything.

Does Freshwater Tackle in Welcome, MN, sound correct?

Could look at the Maynards tackle glow dancer or stingray if you can’t find that exact kind. Maynards is located in Winsted MN.

Hi! So my name is Sam Wirkus! Clarence (the person who invented this jig) is my grandfather! Unfortunately they’re near impossible to find now, but legit the best jigs I’ve ever used. I’m going to show him this article when I see him next!

Also, it was Freshwater Tackle of Deerwood MN. ) I believe he sold the company in 1999 or super early 2000s
