Checked ice on a few lakes in Polk and Barron counties today. Only 1″ to 2″ of “good ice” with slush or frozen slush on top. Lots of open water, even on some small lakes.
Half Moon lake was probably 90% open water.
Did not find anything we felt was safe to fish on.
