All this is a tip from my “tip o’ the week” section of croixsippi.com, It’s about the big picture grasp the fish and fishery idea that this kick butt site underlyingingly (is that a word?) strives for…

A walleye is a walleye, especially a river eye. Once an angler cracks the – how to fish walleye in relation to current – nut, and understands how rivers flow, snake and meander, the deposition of sand and silt becomes clear, an angler can then confidently predict and catch river walleye no matter what Pool or river from the Columbia to the Ohio. Local info helps for sure as fine tuning and serves as historical back ground for traditional catches, but the big picture will get you there. Keep catchin’ T

dang good advice and frequently overlooked as we all look for the secret spot, tactic or lure….. fish live in an alien environment with factors we dont fully understand and sometimes looking at the big picture helps you see the forest instead of the trees…. and puts you back on track instead of out of whack…. (hmmm I should be a poet?)
