i If we sat on the floor in front of a T V set for years as a infant everyday ? Watched all the violent CARTOONS played endlessly into the infants brain. It learns how to use violent force as a solution to problems.

We have millions of infants now Of age. That have been BULLIED in schools, daycares, neighborhoods and family bullying. All of it is accepted as normal life.

Well it is PAY BACK time from those mistreated infants and young adults.

School bullying is not a serious problem ?????? Keep lying to yourself.

You may be correct on the whole point about violence in TV. But the part about bullying in schools, neighborhoods, and families is nothing new. I’m not saying that is not a part of the problem just that that is not something that is new just since the school and mass shooting have started.

Bullying and shootings in schools have no place in this country. Bullying starts at home and the little dink’s parents need some serious bag and bat therapy to help them understand what their little piece of crap is instilling on other kids. and if that doesn’t help, then the school’s principles need some of it.

The shootings are a whole different element though and need to be kept separate.

There was a shooting either today or yesterday in a mall where an armed [legally] 20 something person took out a shooter armed with a rifle and lots of ammo. Good for him. Now stop and think about the scenario and the lots of ammo. Meaning live clips full. This is where changes need to be made. Keep the black guns but limit them to clips holding four rounds. If you’re a hunter, a decent one anyway, you won’t need more than four rounds. The idiot in Uvalde, as well as all the other recent shooter incidents, had multiple filled 30 round clips. Its not the guns so much as it is the large capacity clips. Want/need those….go join Isis.

I was on the fence about picking up a few more P-MAG’s today, but reading “clips” four times did it for me. Bought 4 P-Mags. Thanks!

The investigation is uncovering that DO NOTHING went all the way to top State Police & Governors offices.

Were the children victims of hatred ? Hispanics, Asian or Whites ? Or just a person who wanted to wipe out a mixed class of school children ?

So much for the big brave state of Texas.

I actually just read about this incident in Indiana. A legally armed 22 year old with a permit to carry took out an active shooter in a shopping mall and likely saved a number of lives. The active shooter was armed with two AR-15s, killed one person, and injured two others before the armed bystander fatally shot him.

I’m a little dense. What does a shooting in Indiana have to do with Uvalde?

The real problem is the USA has stopped ALL funding to mental hospitals.

It will resume mental hospitals if a US congress person is killed by a shooter.

I take that back…….Regan was shot. Nothing happened.

I’m not sure how “bullying in schools” got into the topic, but “bullying in schools” is a misleading phrase. Bullying gets dealt with or is brought to the forefront at schools. It may not be handled perfectly, but it’s another only place left where it gets flushed to the surface. It occurs on Snapchat, Instagram, Texting, etc 99.999% of the time outside of school hours. We are in a time where many parents have little to no idea exactly what some of these things are, nor how often their kids use it.

As someone who has taught kids, coached kids, hired kids, and so on throughout my career……get a handle on what your kid does and who they communicate with through their phone. I’d bet 99% of parents would be shocked if they saw everything (yes even those with “great” kids). Bullying has been around forever. But now kids have no way of getting away from it. The a$$hole kids of today aren’t going to fight someone or throw them into a locker. They’re going to belittle them 24-7 from a screen giving them no space to get away from it.

Sorry for the tangent, but the “school’s don’t handle bullying” is BS. Parents don’t handle it. Instead, they enable it by giving kids unfiltered access to their devices.

Haven’t seen much of the Uvalde incident mentioned anywhere, seems like they are trying their best to sweep it under the rug. Of all places for something like this to happen, Texas is the last place I’d think to see this.

Who’s the “they” who are trying to cover it up? Every news outlet on Earth covered it for weeks and it still makes the news when there are developments.

Not sure why anyone would think there is any state or geography that is safe(er) when it comes to domestic terrorism. No matter how gunned up or gung ho a state has a reputation for being, that doesn’t mean anything to the perps who are planning these killings. Biggest lesson here IMO is that NOBODY is safe until hard changes are made.

And Texas’s tough guy “reputation” sure didn’t translate into an effective response in this case. Big hat, no cattle is the phrase that comes to mind.

IMO one of the things that has to be looked at is national standards for stress testing law enforcement commanders. You can have all the training in the world, but as Uvalde demonstrated, if the commander breaks under stress and starts clucking like a chicken, all the training does nothing to help.

    Absolutely^

When s**t hits the fan, the heroes who are truly calm under pressure and willing to lay everything on the line are made obvious. Sadly enough of those people were not there at that school early on.
