    I’ve use expanded pvc sheets in wet areas and they work good. Treat it just like plywood, but I have gotten mold on it. Not sure if the recycled plastic is the same type of product though.

    How stiff is it? In floor applications, is 3/4” as stiff as 3/4 marine ply? Trying to gauge how much it moves, expands, or contract compared to wood

    The specs for the plastic call for;
    Coefficient of Expansion E831 TMA in/in/°F (10 -5) 6.7

    You would need to look up the specs for the wood product you are considering.

    Thermo-Lite board is the standard for the marine industry. Are you re-doing a floor, transom, stringer? It’s not necessarily cheap, but it won’t rot, has excellent thermal properties and you can choose what densities fit your needs.

    Man I’ve considered this often. Either that or just straight up aluminum, if the day ever comes when I have to re-do floors. Although my first thought is Lund’s Lifetime Deck Guarantee as long as your the original owner… but I’m not confident they would ever make good on it.
