How do you put a guy in his second big league appearance in that position. Didnt think I would ever say it but should have left Pagan in.

Literally the most frustrating coach I’ve ever watched.

Friggin Rocco – yes, Pagan was cruising – leave him in.
Not fair to Funderburk to throw him in that situation. Division race/title on the line against the team that can catch you.
His Lefty/Righty on Lefty/Righty crap gets old. ALWAYS overthinks it!

For that matter why take Gray out? He was the one complaining at the beginning of the season about getting taken out early when he was pitching well. He has to be pissed that he had a 2-0 lead and then gets yanked only for the team to take an L.

Exactly, that game was Sonny’s, the bullpen should of been a rest day.

If they blow it again this year, Rocco HAS to be fired.

    Blow what the division? Seriously?
    They will win by default.

    The latest from China Doll.

Byron Buxton (right hamstring strain) was pulled from his second rehab game at Triple-A St. Paul after reporting increased soreness in his patella tendon (knee). The Twins said he would be re-evaluated.

For the gamblers here…..wheres the better odds. That China Doll plays 3 games in the outfield in Sept. or the Twins play in the World Series?

They’re only up by 5 games. And it’s not like they’ve been playing lights out. I’m not saying it’s going to happen but if it does, he’s gotta be fired the day the season ends.

Rocco used some reverse mojo on the Rangers last night. Scherzer was cruising and they took him out and it all fell apart. Last night was a perfect example of why hitting the ball the other way doesn’t cost you a lot of power. Especially now when everyone is throwing 95+. You can stick your bat out and flip it over the right field wall easily these days. Look at Vasquez’ hr.

They have had a 5 game lead give or take for 90 percent of the season. Cleveland has had plenty of chances to make up those five games. They just don’t.

I wasn’t watching or listening. Did something happen to Taylor that Stevenson came in for him in only the 4th inning? Or just another head scratching move by Rocco.

He was looking pretty gimpy as he came around to score in the 4th

I like what I’ve seen out of this Stevenson kid. 44 of 49 stolen bases in the minors. I’m assuming with that speed he can defend pretty well in CF. He looks pretty slender so I don’t imagine he has much power. Not sure what his OBP is. If he can get on base he could be a nice contributor

Taylor pulled his hammy. the Stevenson kid is fast AF but Rocky prefers sending guys like Gallo to steal bases.

Since the All Star break, Joey Gallo is:
    11 for 80, 9R, 5HR, 10 RBI and 47 k’s.
Why hasn’t he been sent to St Paul? Anybody, or a rotation of anybody’s in his spot in the lineup would’ve produced more in that timeframe. Miguel Sano would’ve been better.
When can management say, thanks for trying, but we’re moving on.
