What a beauiful day to be out. Grey skies, cool temps, no bugs and alot of aggresive trout. Fished for about 3 hours today landing about 10 trout and seeing many more than that. Fish ranged in size from about 12 inches to around 20. Many fish were in the 16 to 18 inch size. All trout were caught on rapalas and came from the bigger holes in the streams. Many fish hit the lure without hooking up. It seemed they were intent on punishing the rapala and not necessarily eating it. Man, have I made a mistake by not targeting September trout until this year. All fish were also taken in a catch and release section of the stream.(Grant River in WI)
