Catfish are starting to hit on ditty poles on minnows. Their all smaller in size but good for the fryingpan. It won’t be long and the bigger ones will start to hit too.

I don’t fish for cats, but the walleye are going very good right now. Saturday in a hour and half I caught 6 bass and 2 eyes. The biggest eye was 3lb. 8 oz. Bass were running small but fun to catch and nice to see them. I never moved from the spot on shore to catch these fish. That shows how stacked up they were and so eager to bite. Last night went back to the same spot and no bass, but did catch a nice 4lb. 7oz. eye, what a beauty! All on jig and white twister.
April 28, 2010 at 3:15 am #867423Went back out on the the cedar tonight from 630 – 800 and caught a limit of 5 nice eater walleyes. Biggest was 2 1/2lbs. The rest were around 16 inches or so. The walleyes are on a bite right now. All of these fish were males with several still milting. If we don’t get alot of rain the bite should stay good for some time to come yet.
