Does anyone know where to get the castration rings for attaching ice reels? I got some last year at the ice show I think they were made by cold snap??? I’ve never seen any for sale…

Your local farm supply store will have them. Bag of them for a few bucks.

They do hold rather well and I have NEVER had even one roll off of any of my rods !
They do leave a little impression on your handle,once you get them on they wont moveDecember 16, 2014 at 9:41 pm #1484996I’ve been using using them for a few years now and really like them. Like Gotem said the easiest way to get them is just to pick them up at a farm supply store.

you can get them from cold snaps website.
December 17, 2014 at 8:56 am #1485182I cut the end off a funnel and put the fat end on the rod handle and then just slide the rings right on, works slick.
