Some received a call from his son yesterday.

The old rat has an uphill battle. I told him to try #5 in Red Craw.

I will step in and let everyone know with heavy heart Randy aka RRR has lost his battle and is getting ready to chase pre spawn walleyes in heaven. Rest easy Rat and keep that back channel navigable for us at the H dock! RIP

Very sad to hear the news of RRR’s passing last evening. We’ve lost a legend that many of us river anglers have looked up to throughout the years. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten as the river tactics he revolutionized will continue to keep his legacy alive!

RIP, RRR. I met him a few times years ago at Evert’s but didn’t know him as well as many of you. He seemed like a great guy.

    Exactly!
[/quote] EXACTLY.!! I also almost always wave. . from a boat or out in the country where i live. Where they almost always wave back. Whether in a pickup, suv, car, tractor or whatever. . . After all we do not live in New York city LA Chicago or Mpls. Where the world has gone totally NUTS.!!! True Rural people live a really Cool Life Style. Or wait maybe i should go to mpls an protest about something.? As long as i am there mite as well set a few fires an grab a big screen TV or 2.? . . . Or stay home set around the campfire after a great fish fry with family an friends an have a few.!.

Years ago when I first joined his posts always had that signature RRR. I didn’t know what it stood for or more than likely just didn’t put two and two together but thought he enjoyed being a pirate. Took awhile to figure that one out. hah

Definitely a river sage who I’ll miss seeing his posts here.

    Rest in peace RRR.
