Had a chance to get on the ice for the first time this season. Went to the Wabasha area in the Mississippi backwaters. The ice was surprisingly good with 3-6″ everywhere I checked. The gills were very cooperative and the 8 inch mark was common. Kept enough for a meal and released many more.
Sure was great to be back out on the ice!
