Hey Ed or Dennis when does the ice leave?
And when is it safe for a boat up there, I was fishing the Rum (but thinking of the Red) with out much success. Big chunks of ice falling over the Dam. Pretty cool to watch.
Thanks, see ya soon ( I hope)

The Red is mostly ice free here in the Fargo area. But there are still some ice flow so the river is not safe to boat as of yet. If we can get another week of good weather, the remaining ice should be gone.

There are a few people fishing the red from shore mostly close to the dams in the Fargo area right now. For the most part they are just trying out their rods as few fish are being caught at this point. This will change shortly though, if the weather remains warm we will be catching numbers of fish within the next two weeks.

The Cats will start out somewhat slow but will pick up shortly thereafter if the water temp continues to rise.

    Hope for warm weather!
