Outboard Midsection Heat

I have a 2005 Yamaha 25hp 2 stroke. Yesterday I was cruising the Mississippi and Minnesota rivers for about 2 hours. I was running the motor the entire time, about 60% low rpm and 30% full out. At the end the midsection/exhaust area of the motor was warm to the touch.

Is this normal? I have never had a motor I could trust to run this long and hard and so have no idea if this is normal or not.

I’d really appreciate some knowledge. Thanks!

I would say warm is normal.

Sounds normal. Exhaust travels down that midsection and out, so it’ll be warm to the touch. If it got real hot I’d be concerned but you should be fine.
