Open seat 6/5-6/7: Canoe and camp north of Duluth somewhere

    I’ve got a kitchen pass for the weekend. My number of weekends that include camping and/or paddling have been reduced to nearly nil the past couple of years. Looking to change that.

    I’ll probably throw a dart at a map in the Arrowhead. Not sure if it will be car or backcountry camping, playing it by ear.

    Basically if someone wanted to hop in, I’m game for company. Cost wise just splitting gas and food. I’ve got a kevlar canoe. Would be leaving from the NW metro Friday afternoon’ish and back on Sunday by 7pm.

    Will be looking for a lake or chain of lakes that has walleye. I need a shore lunch.

    If you don’t have any luck the girlfriend and I will be on the Upper St Croix doing the same this weekend with the boat. I could help shuttle on Sunday.
