Do people really watch the results come in? Geez these guys are trying to make predictions on 2% of the votes being counted. I don’t get it.

I’ll need to find a re-run to watch I guess.

It’s a flipping joke. I feel real journalism wouldn’t prematurely make calls until all the polls are closed and they have the facts. Hope they all wake up to the results they had last Election. Funny how stunned they were

Agreed. It’s kind of fun watching all these “experts” miss the mark again

With all the mail in votes we might not know the results for a week or so.
It is the USPS system delivering them. whistling

John King and his magic wall are the best. He keeps reminding everyone to be patient and that this is an election like no other. He praises all poll workers regardless of party. I have it on in the garage while I start getting my snowmobiles ready for the ice season.

Honestly I’ve had simple letters take up to 30 days to get delivered.

They will be finding ballots for a month or more. Hard to make every vote count when there will be many ballots lost or misplaced for weeks. Oh well… I voted in person.

I was really getting sick of the ads on TV, the mail solicitation, and the annoying texts I was getting on my mobile phone almost every day.

I didn’t really get any flyers until after I had already voted. That was really annoying.

Some of the local commercials were kind of funny the first time you see them, like the two women sitting on the couch drinking wine talking about the riots or Jason Lewis shooting a gun. But after that I would mute the tv until whatever I was watching came back on.

Today our kids school district voted to ban 7 of his most controversial written works including the books: “leaving the house with your tin hat on” & “There’s a commie in my britches!”

The popular book of tips on how to avoid lightening strike and keep your tinfoil hat on will remain in libraries as it is considered a safety manual

Keep hanging tags on people. Very few people consider themselves conservative, liberal, left, right, pink, or red. They are more interested in voting for who they think can help their situation or a name they have heard of.

Remember, there is no right or wrong vote as long as you vote.

Not everyone is the genius and savant that you are.

100% true. I would add that one issue doesn’t define a person and shouldn’t create a label for them. Try coming to IDO and saying the simple phrase “I do not like Donald Trump” and you’ll be labeled as a crazy leftist who wants communism/socialism and for American to burn by the leftist mobs. Oh and the other day it was pointed out that you also do not love America apparently.

That’s what people mean by polarization. You crack that door open just a little bit and the opposite viewpoint/party will jump to chastise you.

My brother was telling me about a time in college when they were talking healthcare. All he did was say “I don’t think it’s right that someone can go bankrupt from trying to fight cancer.” Someone immediately went off on him for being a liberal socialist wanting to drain our country.

I think things would be much better off if our country talked issues, not parties/sides. One issue at a time, everything as an isolated issue. Sadly people hear one stance or opinion and write you off.

Problem is the people that have only been in this country a limited time are not necessarily controlling their own vote. But their vote is being used, that’s for sure

It’ll all turn out ok, you’ll be fine.

Everything will be ok. Popular vote doesn’t matter any ways, look at 2016 Hillary would have won

How long do you think it will take to get ALL the Trump/Biden political signs down?

    My guess is 05/13/2023.

Someone who arrived when they were 10 and can now vote is somehow different then a kid born in Mpls who is now 18?

Nothing has been GIVEN away. The tin hats have just turned a bit to get the signals from deep space.

It’s thoughts like yours that scare me far worse then anything you have imagined.

An example of the greatness of this country is a thread like this can discuss such varied opinions openly.

I often wonder who are these kooky people are who fall for all of the conspiracy theory/Qanon/fraudulent voting propaganda out there.

Funny thing is they are so distracted with that nonsense they miss who is actively destroying democracy.

    Sad, really.
