Milwaukee Harbor Report (asking)

    Any report on the Salmon run there? Too early yet? Missed it last year but would like to spend a day or two searching for them in and around the harbor. Might even venture on the big lake now that I have access to a bigger boat.

    I’ve been on there frequently since last Wed night. Warm water has stacked the shore from Milwaukee to south of racine. The best action has moved out to 70+FOW and as of yesterday was 70-80 fishing 45 feet down.

    Started to see Browns porpoising near shore and a few getting their fall colors started.

    As for kings, find bait in 48 to 50 degree water and you’ll find fish.

    Thanks for the reply. MIght have to plan a trip with a friend who has a bigger boat and down riggers to fish a little deeper and out a little farther.
