Went out on Saturday morning and pulled some crank baits on some of the main points i usually do, all i caught was one small northern. Anyone got any ideas of where to try.

A different lake…haha. I wish they would all just freeze already. Maybe this season we can successfully fall through the ice when there is only an inch, or maybe we will stay lucky and dry again.

I think your in the the right areas but may need to switch presentations. The last few times out, going vertical was key. Not great numbers but I have been picking up quality fish by slowing down. Both livebait and plastics have been producing fish. Look for areas close to the main channel. Some nice panfish are hitting in deeper water areas also. The key for the pannies is downsizing bait. Good luck, Don.
