I need to know the rec. kicker shaft length to put on my 2003 Lund Explorer 1675 SS. I’ll install the kicker on port stern and my Lund has a helm. So 20″ or 25″
    Thanks,
    Eric

If you can find a T8 grab it. Good luck however.

Measure from the trolling motor mounting area to the hull. Then measure the mounting area on the motor to the cavitation plate. Compare the numbers and make your choice of length of shaft. As long as the prop is able to grab fresh water under the hull you are in good shape.

My last boat was a 2005 Explorer 1700. My original T8 I got from one of my wife’s family relatives was the 25″, that was WAY too long a shaft for that boat, so found and ended up with a 20″, that worked out great.
    good luck
