Lowrance Carbon 9 with structure scan…3D? review

    I am buying a Carbon 9 this spring and networking it with an HDS5 gen 2…..probably use the gen2 for the map.
    I fish Millelacs a lot…walleye are the principal target.
    Am replacing my LCX27c . I want structure scan and want to know if the 3D Structure scan is worth the extra dough.
    Will it give me a better perspective on whats going on than the total scan?
    …..worth the extra money?

    I plan to network to use the hds5 as the chart, leaving me more room on the carbon 9
    any suggestions appreciated
