6 hours from now I’m on one. Next week I’ll hit the river. This week… there’s still time for one last run at the fish through the ice.

Please report your findings. My auger still has a full tank of gas and I can’t find anything to do this weekend.

Where are you going James? The family and I are hitting Leech this weekend, time for some Jumbo Perch!

Well, we’re on a tour and it sounds like Winnie, a couple lakes by Hackensack… potentially Black Duck and Rainy. In no particular order.

Dont forget about Leech. Had the kids up there 2 weeks ago and the Jumbos were on fire. They were all over grand view flats all the way up to little hardwoods!

Thanks for the tip. We just might swing through there. Who knows?

Bummer, I’ve got about 500 red spikes back home.

Anyone need spikes? I won’t be needing them, it’s turkey time.

Hopefully the weather this weekend will be as nice as it is today up here! They are saying 50’s!

Dont know how much longer a guy will get on winnie. Last weekend along the east side we had 10-20yds of open water along shore.

Sorry I didn’t provide any updates. My droid to a bath on friday and that ended my ability to get on the internet for this trip. I will tell you all about it though when I come down tomorrow to have you set me up with a new phone.

So that’s why it went straight to VM Friday night. The ice sure was getting soft up there last weekend.
