Im replaceing my 100c on my boat with a HDS8 and thought about buying the lowrance ice pack that has the case with battery and transducer. The 100c has a full screen circular flasher mode plus 2d color sonar. How would the flasher mode compare to a real flasher or one of the fancy marcum lcd flashers as far as update speed and target seperation. Thanks.

You trusted it on the open water, now that you can stand on it – – you will question it’s ability??LOL
I have used LCDs since they came out on ice!

Started with a flasher, but soon moved on.
YES with your scroll speed bumped up & the zoom used, the ‘100 is a very sweet and relaible old horse and would serve you well.
Just make sure your XDCR seam line is as level as you can get for best returns.

You have a point. Might get the ice transducer they have for them.

I never paid the extra for a “ice” XDCR, the skimmer worked well.
