I believe the snow coming will really put a damper on the ice fishing

The condition did put a damper on this weekends ice fishing plans. Just to much slush and snow on the lakes we were going to fish. With Next weekend being Easter that’s out. We now are planning on a big get together the weekend after easter. As of now I don;t see if good ice will be a issue at all by then. Got a tip on a lake closer to home and may give it a try on Sun. Report was a nice plowed road, almost no slush, and decent fishing. Sounds like a winner to me. Hope the current forecast doesn’t mess it all up.

Me too. I keep waiting for the snow to melt down a bit to make it easier going. I was up north last weekend and it was a PITA to get around and drill. With all the additional snow coming next week I think I’ll hit the lake in a boat next weekend and ice fish the following. Hopefully we will have lost a lot of snow by then.
