Who pays for all the security? That alone had to be in the tens of millions for costs.

No single answer. So many different roles in so many different places working for many different public and private employers.

I was downtown Friday and Saturday on Nicollet Mall. Some of the events and things were pretty cool.

Just happy the game was competitive, I remember the stretch where blowouts were the norm.

Rumors say the NFL does but would like a definitive answer.

    http://www.startribune.com/nfl-had-a-long-pricey-and-secret-super-bowl-wish-list-for-minneapolis/262253921/

This is from 2014 and has the bid specification document from the NFL.

Update from a couple of days. The agreed upon bid is secret. One thing it says is:

Host Committee spokesman Michael Howard said the fundraising will be reimbursing the city and the state more than $6 million in public safety and public works costs.

So basically the NFL didn’t pay for crap.

Is it fair to claim the NFL says the city can get the spotlight, but we get everything else?

Really? When was that and who punted? I totally missed that, I thought there wasn’t a punt all game.

Was anybody downtown or at the MOA this weekend? Was it crazy in the restaurants and malls? Were prices jacked way up?

Eagles punted once, Patriots became the first team in the super bowl to never punt.

I don’t know about restaurants and stuff but my sister was sending me pictures from the parking ramps all last week and I think like last Wednesday evening or something they were charging $65 for parking.

On Sunday I saw they charged $240 to get into one ramp. So I’d say the parking ramp owners are probably happy :). Small amount of additional overhead, more traffic and 5-10x higher prices.
