I fish stream stocked trout and go old school. Mitchell 308 or 204.
The bigger spool will get you a bit more distance. What line do you use? I switched to nanofil 4 pound which casts a mile but does get caught in the wind a little more than the heavier stuff.

Mitchell 308. That is old school. Hope you carry extra Bail springs and know how to change them with your eyes closed. I remember when I got one of those. I really thought I was something. I bet I replaced 10 bail springs in that thing in about 2-3 years. They were state of the art when they came out. I don’t remember the 204 model.
I found the Mitchell 300 I bought in high school while moving Mom last year. Took it to Robert Haik for a good going over and recently got it back. I will be using it this year, for nostalgia’s sake if no other reason.
Thee old coffee grinders! Lol!
Back when I was in 6th grade our hardware store had Mitchell 300’s and for a dollar more Zebco Cardinal 4’s. I went for the Cardinal with no regrets. My buddies all had Mitchells.
The trout season in PA opened 4/3/21. Now a days I see maybe 6 people on the streams. Which means more fish for my dog. Last two days this week.
