Anybody know conditions of Vermillion?? What is the current water temperature?
Are the bass in winter pattern’s, pre-spawn, etc???
Where can you find smallies this time of year on the lake?
Will they be close to deep water, cruising over rock reefs/flats?
What sort of baits, colors, and presentations should be tried?
    Feel free to PM me.

Actually Vermillion is in the area where bass opener is the same as walleye opener. So that is today. Bass opener for the rest of the state is the 27th. Every year I have a bass tournament on vermillion on the weekend between walleye opener and bass opener. It is always fun and a nice way to get out bass fishing on a lake early. If you or anyone else is interested contact Mike Cowan at 218-327-7923. We are going out of the casino.

I measured 50.9 degree water temps in the 7 Sisters Islands area, 48.4 degrees in Big Bay near Jackrabbit Island.

Others like Terry will have to help you with the bass. He knows the wiley ways of the smallies!
