A buddy of mine bought a lake master Rainy chip and when he starts to zoom in the unit blanks out. Has anyone else experienced this or does he need a update to run the chip. His normal MN chip works fine.

Im not totally sure with the rainy chip but i know with the minnesota chips on my HDS’s they have a 6.0 and 6.1 version this year. but the front of the packages on them both say 6.0 but turn the package over and if its a 6.1 it will say it on the back which is what the HDS requires as of this year to get the full functions. I think the rainy is on version 3 so there maybe a 3.1 for this year. Call throne brothers, they will know. hope this helps
