Vexilar for Summer Lake Trout

Leaving tonight for Canada and plan to fish couple of days for Lake Trout. Traditionally I use my portable graph for walleyes, but am considering taking my vexilar for jigging for Lake Trout. Do you think it’s necessary to bring both? Battery and transducer placement is the issue, otherwise I would just take the vexilar period. Am I overthinking or is a vexilar a must?

If you are jigging then I’d take the vexilar too. I tied to jig up some lakers last summer with my my graph and the delay was a bit much, i would think a Vex would work wonders.

I’d just bring the vex, probably faster readings the the graph and more accurate, unless you had a newer graph with gps and a map chip. for the lake. Depends a little one which graph you have.
