Here are some of the highlights of our trip.

I just published it, so the quality will be poor for a while.

Hope you enjoy it,…..because making it was awesome.

Stay tuned to my youtube account as I’ll have more videos coming,……bit of adult language and I’m running out of Songs to put over language

Very cool Matt, Jon, and Terry. Good footage. Loved the one jumping out of the water.

You guys made a good team with one guy filming, one guy fighting the fish, and the other on beverage duty!!

Getting that jump was pure luck. I usually didn’t film a big fish fight until we let 5 min pass. But that one I started on right after Jon hooked up.

I learned filming a sturgeon trip is not easy when your dancing around the boat. I’ve got another 2 hours of video thats just bent rod figting, cussing and beer drinking.

Every year when I see a video from the event or read a post I tell myself that I have to go. Next year I need to find someone and go with.

I’ve been watching all you guys go on your summer trips for 10 years.
It is an absolute blessing to be done with the commercial concrete business. I think I’m picking up this long rod stuff fairly well

I am a very sad, sad young man… I had a reservation at Wigwam and ended up having a conflict that won out over the fishing trip. I am a very, very sad young man.

But I did get a boat last weekend!!

Awesome footage, even better when I turned the volume off. Maybe when I get the chance (or make the time) I’ll have to give them sturgeon a try. Good job guys

How long did it take to get the last one in?

Jon, that last fish looks like beast. What was her estimate weight?

Ok, here is the story of that last fish in the video. Started out as the kind of bite I like. Rod loads up and the clicker starts singing. Not the little peck, peck, peck bites that often turn out to be suckers. Lifted the rod and know right away this was a good fish. The real big ones just get bigger as they get up under the boat. Shortly after the hook up, that’s when the beast decides to come up and see who she was dealing with!! Cool to get that on camera. The cheers from the surrounding boats was appreciated. That confirmed I was now in a battle with a pretty big telephone pole. I did not want to come un-glued from this fish. I think the official time was in that 13-15 minute range. In the end and after 2 good bubble burps, she relented and came to the boat. The fish measured 62 inches. I did not get any other measurements and never weigh these fish. Back into the river as soon as possible. Had to be less than 2 minutes on deck.

Thanks again Matt for putting up the video. You and Terry are a blast to fish with.
