Sure that’s crazy stupid, BUT
I’m not sure that clears you and your head…..

Thanks for making me laugh out loud!!!
Because a few river rats have the balls to do something I won’t this time of year, I’d call them ‘gutsy’.
You should have included a picture of the guys who parked their trucks on the ice. I could not believe the number of guys down there yesterday afternoon on the ice and the ones parked out there still. I did also see one air boat sitting in the open water.
Are you positive of that?
I have no idea what they’re getting out there for sure. Do you?
I’m guessing something other than small fish is drawing those guys. I would hope anyway.
I’d ‘heard’ the fishing up there wasn’t much better than that. Maybe with the late ice, the fishing got better. I’ll probably never know. This will mark the 2nd yr in a row that I’ve not fished up there. I can’t say that I’ve missed it, but to a point, completely avoided it. The quality of fish have dropped off for some reason.
There was one dedicated fisherman up there today at 1:30. I hope those fish taste good!

Thinning of the herd.
So if they had been deer, the DNR would have estimated about 30 inches of ice and about 400 guys out fishing

And they would have been reporting an awesome bite with many fish over the 28″ mark.
I saw something just as crazy in 2003 I was in the boat that this pic was taken from, it was turning out to be a very nice day, it was getting warm enough that day that I was shedding layers of clothing.
