Drove by today and looked like some ice may have drifted into the boat launch area, did not look at the launch but seemed to be ice piled up on the WI shoreline side from the dam down

Last Sun. there were 3 boats out at the powerplant landing.I talked to a gent.& he said they chopped ice free to get out so it was accessible but landing bay was filled with broken ice.Thinking some ice was from the landing area & other floating ice that catches the eddy right off the point & fills the landing bay in.Also with the cooler temps this week ? Unless a person wants to ice away im thinking another week goes bye. Trying to have patience here as well. Patience my I wanna some fishies. Thinking P4 is going to get a visit soon.

Check out the Bellvidere Slough, that launch is usually free of ice because it’s downstream of the power plant and the warmer discharge water keeps it open

Does the power plant warm the air for the long trip up?

Just go fast that way your not cold for so long. JK Be carefull as there was alot of loose ice stacked up above the dam & when it cuts free there will be some good sized chunks coming down! Can hardly wait Cmon 40 deg. temps. Best of luck fishing.
