Hunter’s Point Appreciation Day for IDA

    George just informed me that on March 11th Hunter’s would like to invite the IDA Family up to fish perch. They will keep the roads open for everyone, and there will be no access fee. He will make brats, burgers, beans and chips for all attendees. Also, the Whitecap Perch Pounder is the same day!
    So if you are available for ANOTHER Mille Lacs get together, get on board! The permanent houses will be off the lake by then, so portables only. He also mentioned we could have a couple of Holdem games!

    I just got done talking to George at Hunters, and we decided to have breakfast for all IDA anglers. That way we can fish the White Cap Perch Pounder, and attend Dickies Pig Roast after the tourney. He charges $15 per button, but it includes the pig roast!
    Hunters will begin serving at 6:00 AM!
    This WILL be a blast!
    I am looking forward to seeing a lot of us there!

    Given a choice between chasing perch through the ice in March or suffering through 85 degree weather when my blood is geared for 25 degrees, I would probably…. What am I saying? I wasn’t given that choice.

    That’s funny right there! Well, there is the “Big D Classic on the Opener”, Hunter’s Point Tournament, the Wacker, many MANY get togethers on the big pond during the summer! You are invited to all!
    Then we move into the fall, and numerous GTG’s there, and then winter……

    We don’t need to go into it too much, because not much happened. Someone threw a bar stool in Hunter’s, and almost hit Josh Hukriede, and did hit JJ.
    Let’s just say that Kooty kindly walked up to the guy, and explained to him that throwing a chair was not a good way to show his lack of appreciation for the North Dakota Fighting Sioux.
    That’s my story, and I am sticking to it.

    I told Hook that I think Josh found the big brother he never had in Kooty! I don’t know if that is such a good thing!
