Boat Corrosion

I just bought a used boat (2000 Lund Mr. Pike) from a guy and it has some corrosion happening in a few spots. The paint is bubbled in a few spots. The most noticeablr spots are at areas where there is also a hole through the boat for wires or maybe a screw going through some molding. My question is, is this common? Do other people see this happening on their boats? This boat is only 4 years old and is in very good shape otherwise. Here’s a picture of the worst area. I also have seen it in a couple of spots on the outside of the boat right under the top edge molding. Is there anything that can be done? Are there people who could strip that small area down and repaint it?

Any body shop should be able feather that out and paint that for you. It would probably be around $250.00. Looks like the paint chipped off when the hole was drilled.

Anyone else have any thoughts about this? Does anyone have this going on on their boat? Does Lund have any kind of corrosion warranty?

Lund warranty is only good for the original owner.
