travel agent?

    So talking with the wife, she wants to book a trip thru a travel agency. I’m just wondering if anyone has used a travel agent or if its wiser to just book it yourself? Just looking for input

    Our last trip to Cancun we went with an Agent. Price was $5 more than I could find online but the Agent scored me a non-stop flight with better depart & return times. Basicly gave us almost an extra beach/scenery day. I always check them out before booking an online trip. Just my $.02.

    I booked my honeymoon last year through an agent with good results and it was very close to the online price.

    With that said, it’s great piece of mind to have an agent who has experience with certain vacation destinations and hotels in the area as well as a point of contact in case anything goes wrong.
